There are many ways in which businesses/sponsors can support our project. We are always wanting to improve what we can offer our children, in school, in the community and online.
If you think you have the capacity to support in some way, please get in touch with Ilse via email (email@example.com). Some suggestions may be:
To support children:
We like to give children tools to take away from the workshops – things that will help to improve their health in the future, when we’re not there to support them. We’d love to include items such as water bottles, colouring pencils, frisbees and skipping ropes as well as fruits and vegetables they can take home and share with their families.
We also run a competition during our workshops for children who show great encouragement to others, or are deeply involved in the learning. Children receive raffle tickets for their involvement, and we award three prizes for the children whose raffle tickets are drawn.
On our blog, we award a prize to the boy and girl who have been most engaged. We’d like these prizes to really excite the children when it comes to health and wellbeing, and prizes which will encourage children to get involved in our global health conversation.
These obviously carry a cost to us, so we do what we can, but would love to do more. Could you help us to buy:
£30.00 would buy three high quality prizes for children in lessons to engage and inspire
£215.00 would buy a class drawstring bags with a water bottle, frisbee and skipping rope to keep them active outside of school
£1790.00 would allow us to buy 10 iPod touches which we can use in our classroom workshops. They would be used for team research in class, surveying children about their health and wellbeing, accessing instructional videos to promote independent learning and recording the impact our teaching is having. These would take our workshops to the next level and ensure we are able to provide modern educational activities to every child we work with.
To support parents:
In our parent workshops, we currently offer food tasting, a recipe eBook and several cheat sheets that can be stuck on the fridge at home, or taken food shopping. We would love to offer parents a goody bag to take away, perhaps with the ingredients for a recipe, a printed recipe book and tools that can be used in the kitchen.
We’d like to run competitions on our Facebook/Instagram page for parents to encourage them to interact with others and share their healthy ideas and recipes. Prizes such as a smoothie maker or a spiraliser would really motivate parents to get involved.
We’re also keen to support parents in purchasing healthy foods, trying new brands and enjoying healthy days out. If you think you could offer our parents discount vouchers towards healthy foods, or healthy days out, please get in touch. We’d be keen to promote your brand if you could help us with this.
If you’re willing to donate funds to help us purchase some of these items for children, or could donate the items themselves, please get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Any donation, even a £1 is gratefully received and will be used to improve children’s health and wellbeing.
